Quinta da Ria Golf Course, located in the picturesque Algarve region of Tavira, Portugal, is an 18-hole, Par 72 course designed by Rocky Roquemore in 2001. This course capitalizes on the stunning natural backdrop of a Nature Reserve, with the expansive blue sea forming its southern boundary. It shares this beautiful locale with its sister course, Quinta de Cima.

At Quinta da Ria, a lengthy 475-meter Par-5 hole welcomes golfers, leading them down a gentle slope to the first of the several undulating greens. The Par 3 fifth hole is a demanding dogleg to the left with a lake poised to capture any short balls. The back nine brings golfers tantalizingly close to the beach, offering panoramic sea views. The course culminates with another 475-meter Par 5, featuring a wide fairway but a green guarded by an array of bunkers.

Off the course, Quinta da Ria offers golf lessons for those looking to improve their game, as well as a Pro Shop stocked with essential gear. A Snack Bar is also available for refueling after a game. For golfers’ convenience, both buggies and club sets are available for rent.

Quinta da Ria enjoys a consistent stream of golfers throughout the year, with peak activity in spring and a slower pace in winter. A significant percentage of Quinta da Ria golfers also play other local courses such as Quinta de Cima and Benamor in Tavira, Castro Marim Golf and Quinta do Vale in Castro Marim, and Vale do Lobo Ocean in Vale do Lobo.
