98 - Quarteira Beach, Loulé - Algarve
The Quarteira beach is a beach with a length of approximately 2 kilometres along the coast of the city. The beach is made up of small beaches divided by pontoons of stacked stone. The various divisions of Quarteira beaches have names of reference, representing existing business names in the vicinity or names of the granting of beaches
The various beaches of Quarteira are preferred by Portuguese families and locals. The beaches are very comfortable due to the proximity of numerous restaurants and existing services. The proximity to various accommodation allows access to the beach without the need for transport
Each of the several beaches has an average width of approximately 250 meters. East of the Quarteira fishing port there are six beaches until the end of the Avenue, where the beach of the Cavalo Preto is. West of the fishing port there are two beaches, Fishermen (Pescadores) Beach and the Vilamoura beach.

During the summer bathing season, the beaches at Quarteira have reserved areas with rental services of beach beds and shade, with swimmers lifeguard surveillance, and another area for parasols, where each person is free to take it's own sunshade
